WEBTOON Entertainment and Studio N Celebrate First Emmy® Awards Nomination with Hit Netflix Series “Chicken Nugget”
The comedy series is based on the Naver WEBTOON webcomic with 80 million views
SEOUL – WEBTOON Entertainment Inc., a leading global entertainment company and home to some of the world's largest storytelling platforms, is celebrating its first Emmy® Awards nomination with Chicken Nugget nominated for Comedy series at the 2025 International Emmy® Awards. The Netflix series is produced by WEBTOON Entertainment’s Studio N.
Adapted from the webcomic of the same name by Park Ji-dok with over 80 million global views on Naver WEBTOON, WEBTOON Entertainment’s Korean platform, the Netflix adaptation premiered in March 2024. At its premiere, the zany comedy series, which follows a woman who enters a machine and turns into a chicken nugget, ranked 10th in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Shows. The series stars Squid Game’s Jung Ho-yeon, Kim Yoo-jung (Love in the Moonlight), Ryu Seung-ryong (Extreme Job), and Ahn Jae-hong (Mask Girl)
