WEBTOON Founder and CEO Junkoo Kim Named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s LA500 List of the Most Influential People in LA
LOS ANGELES – WEBTOON Entertainment Inc., a leading global entertainment company and home to some of the world's largest storytelling platforms, today announced that Founder and CEO Junkoo Kim has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s LA500 list in the Media & Entertainment category. The annual list celebrates the most impactful leaders in the Los Angeles business community.
Now in its 10th year, the LA500 2025 list features Kim alongside fellow honorees, including directors J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg, Netflix Co-Chief Executive Ted Sarandos, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, and more.
Kim founded WEBTOON in 2005 in Korea, pioneering the vertical scroll format that revolutionized digital comics and empowered a new generation of creators. Under his leadership, WEBTOON has become a global storytelling powerhouse, connecting millions of fans to diverse, creator-owned stories across genres and languages.
